‘Foss capture Barmby’s Booth


The club are delighted to announce the signing of Barmby Moor striker Liam Booth. Booth who already has 23 goals to his name this season has been a long term target for manager Andrew Palfreyman having played under is leadership during his Barmby Moor days. Palfreyman said “I was keen to sign Liam in the summer as I felt he offered us something slightly different however he showed great loyalty to Barmby. Following discussions over the last week Booth made it clear he would be keen to sign and I’m delighted we have finally got him.

Booth fired 28 goals in 18 games last season as Barmby, narrowly missed out on promotion. Following his arrival Booth commented “I’m fit and ready to get stuck in, I hope I can hit the ground running and get some football played”

Wilberfoss AFC chairman Mark Newby said “We knew Andy (Palfreyman) was keen to capture Liam in the summer however this didn’t materialise, his goals record speaks for itself and I am excited to see him in a ‘Foss kit. I would like to welcome Liam to the club and hope to see his name on the score sheet soon. Furthermore I would like to thank Barmby Moor for their swift cooperation regarding the transfer”
