Walker adds final piece to ‘Foss jigsaw
The club are delighted to announce the signing of defender James Anderson. It is understood that a number of local clubs including Premier League outfit York R.I. were keen for his signature following his recent move back to the area, however having been in discussions with the club for a number of weeks, James made it clear he was keen to play alongside a number of the current Wilberfoss AFC playing squad and help in their push for promotion.
Many ‘Foss fans will remember James from his Hamilton Panthers days and the fierce encounters between the two clubs. Anderson commented “I always enjoyed my trips to Wilberfoss AFC, with some good memories and I hope to help push the club back up the leagues.”
Anderson was recommended to Storking Lane Chief Brian Walker by a number of the senior players and he moved quickly to sign his man. “I am thrilled James has agreed to sign and add depth in defence where we have a number of injuries, I think his leadership, determination and experience is just what we need at this stage of the season”
